Frequently Asked Questions
We offer weekly, every 2 weeks, and every 4 weeks for clients wanting a recurring schedule. We also have clients who just call in whenever they need a clean rather than be pre-scheduled.
We offer every 4 weeks instead of monthly because it streamlines our scheduling. Our service operates on a rotating schedule of weekly, every 2 and every 4 weeks. By sticking to this cycle, we're able to efficiently serve our clients and plan our routes, as we are not able to be in every neighbourhood every day. This cuts down on wasted time and wasted gas from driving all over the city. For these reasons, we are not able to offer service every 3 weeks.
We are not in every neighbourhood every day or even every week. For example, if we are in Westsyde every other week, it's not always going to land on the first week of each month. See the previous question's answer for how our scheduling cycle works.
We aim to keep recurring clients on the same day for each clean, but we cannot guarantee the same time. This is because our schedule is determined by the duration of other bookings and travel time between clients. We will ask if you prefer mornings, afternoons or have no preference, and do our best to accommodate, but it can vary greatly.
A basic clean covers the essential tasks needed to maintain a clean home. This includes vacuuming/mopping, dusting, wiping down surfaces, cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, spot-cleaning windows and emptying trash. It's great for regular upkeep and is ideal if you're looking to maintain cleanliness between deeper cleans.
A deep clean is more thorough and includes all the tasks of a basic clean, plus additional attention to areas that may not be cleaned regularly. This includes the inside of appliances, inside kitchen cupboards and drawers, detailed dusting, washing windows and window tracks, and other areas that require more time and effort. A deep clean is perfect for a home that needs a more intensive clean, either periodically or when starting service.
Either type of clean is customisable and you can make special requests when booking.
We will clean behind your fridge (and your stove) but you would have to be the one to move it out and back in again. Our insurance prohibits us from moving large appliances and large furniture for the safety of our staff.
Yes. We are fully insured, licensed, and bonded.
Our teams are fully equipped with our own standard household cleaning products and supplies, but if you would prefer we use yours, that's quite alright!
That is entirely up to you! You can be home, or book your clean for while you're at work, or head out for a walk while we work. If you're not going to be home, let us know how you'd like to give the team access to your home- there are lots of different options, from giving us a key or the door code, to leaving a hidden key, etc.
Keys are labelled only with a number, never a name or address, and the number corresponds to your client file in our system, and keys are kept under lock and key.
You can request laundry be added onto your cleans. For shorter cleans, there is often only time to fold fresh laundry, but for longer cleans, clients often put the washing on when they leave and ask us to put it in the dryer and fold it when it's finished. We don't hand-wash laundry, however.
No. When you book, we ask you how many bedrooms and bathrooms, bonus rooms such as a studio/workshop/rec room/home gym/etc, and any special requests, and put together an estimate from there. We will often book a first clean for a little longer than expected, just to guarantee there is enough time. But don't worry- you will only be billed for the actual amount of time the team is there for. You might be booked in for an hour and a half, but if the team was only there for an hour and ten minutes, you'll only be billed for an hour and ten minutes.
Only if you want us to! When booking, just let us know if there's any rooms you don't want cleaned.
Yes. Please let us know when booking what kind of pets you have, and if they'll be roaming free or in a room or kennel while the team is there. If there are any doors that need to stay closed to keep your pet out, let us know so the teams know to leave them closed. Please note, we do not clean up pet mess, such as scooping litter boxes or picking up poop or hairballs/vomit. We will of course vacuum up hair/fur, and tidy up the feeding stations.
We won't go up ladders- we can't clean anything that cannot be reached from a two-step ladder. We don't clean up biohazard material such as vomit, blood, or feces. We do not provide services such as floor waxing/buffing, carpet cleaning, exterior window washing, gutter or siding cleaning, etc but we are happy to recommend local companies that do.
